You know when you want to take the kids for a walk but the weather is awful so you do not bother? Well I am here to tell you that it is more fun to embrace the weather and go for a muddy walk as it can be lots of fun! We recently went to Clent Hills on a rainy Bank Holiday Monday and despite a huge downpour in the car park as we arrived (which nearly put us off – the pub was calling!) we went for a walk up to the top of the hill, seeing lots of bluebells and muddy puddles that even Peppa Pig would of been proud of!
The weather had dried up quite a bit by the end of our walk but Thomas and Daniel were completely soaked through. It looked like they had been swimming in the puddles and their wellies were filled up to the brim with water. They did not seem to mind as this last picture shows although we did have a few tears near the end of the walk when tiredness and hunger started creeping in. I am thinking about going further afield for our next muddy adventure so if you know anywhere good in the West Midlands or Worcestershire that would be good, please let me know by commenting below.
